For the past 16 or so years I have been going to Fantastic Sam's on Ehrlich Rd, in Tampa. My hairdresser is Thu Van. I will only go to FS, no where else, and even though I live much farther away, I still get my hair cut here. That says it all. A few reviews by male writers suggest women get preference. I have never, in all these years, experienced that. Even when I go in without an appointment, I have to wait until others are served. Many customers call in and make an appointment; some work requires more time. Walk-ins are welcome, but obviously come after the appointments. I was in a month ago when a man walked in with no appointment. Thu Van told him as soon as she finished with me, she would take him. There were 3 women waiting, and sure enough, as soon as I paid, she called the man over. I've never experienced any rude treatment, or preferential treatment, in the many years I have gone to FS.
